Today was another swim lesson. As we walked up and down the stairs to get ready, I came down looking for his suit and rash guard I'd placed on the kitchen table. Looking around didn't reveal anything so I turned to my bright son and asked, "where's your bathing suit?" He replied with, "It's hiding."

My Boggles!
Today was a swim lesson with Lauren, one of our babysitters. Afterwards, he shivered his way across the street to our house and we jumped in the "hot" tub. More like a bath. But perfect for extended periods of play. He had Nemo, Buzz and Woody but it wasn't complete until he had his "boggles." When Dad walked out with his goggles, he squealed with excitement and proceeded to spend the next hour or so dunking himself and looking at his toys and Daddy underwater. Bedtime Stories
I'm seriously blessed by how darling my boy can be when we get ready for bed. We sang Julie Andrews' "Doe a Deer" while brushing teeth, read lots of Bible stories about boats, made the bed (made sure his blanket was "right there" in its special place) and got tucked in, both prayed to God and sang the "Jesus Song" (Jesus Loves me, this I know...) and then said goodnight and "I love yous" back and forth numerous times. RAW!
Recently I was thinking about the lion from The Wizard of Oz and I thought of Alexander. The lion wanted courage, a seeming contradiction since he was, after all, a lion. Alex is a seeming contradiction as well. He doesn't look like a lion but he sure has an overabundance of courage! And a tremendous heart.
